It's no secret that we've purchased bulls from our friends at Horseshoe Creek Farms for a number of years. This one in particular became a fast favourite around LLS! When we purchased "Freedom" in 2019, we certainly could not have anticipated the big powerful bull he'd really become.

Freedom possesses all the qualities we admire about Blue Jeans' calves, and he just gets better and better with age. Cherry red, moderate framed, good footed, and soggy. Freedom is easy to handle, free moving, and maintains his condition well while he is out at work. We think quite highly of this guy!

Freedom's dam, CYT Sparkle Girl 0166, was one of our personal favourite Shorthorn females. Additionally, his paternal sister, LL Raggedy Ann 1F, is one of the best females we have in our program. There is a lot to be said for this pedigree! We are anticipating great things from his next calf crop - Freedom was crossed with purebred and select commerical females in the 2022 breeding season.
