When selecting embryos from Horseshoe Creek Farms' "Frozen In Time" sale, we were very excited about this cross and what it could bring to our program. We received 2 bull calves, and neither of them disappointed! This flashy, chromed up guy has always possessed this smooth, soggy look with lots of volume - truly eye appealing with this much length of body & depth of rib! As with all of Drum Major’s calves, he is as quiet as they come. His dam is an easy fleshing, beautiful uddered female who works very hard for us & pays her way. He’ll also work hard & add pounds to his calves! For those looking for heifer bulls, take note of this guy's birthweight! Here is the youngest in our offering. This cross NEVER disappoints! 70Z often has a standout in our calf crops, and this guy was no exception. Cherry red, wide topped, and long as a boxcar! Backed by the Augusta Pride family (which needs no introduction), his genetics speak for themselves. He just becomes more and more impressive with age. We often get requests for solid red bulls from the Kamilaroi Meat Packer line and here he is - take a look!
We often get inquiries about heifer bulls as well - we feel this guy would be a contender to use on first calvers!

Here is a bull we retained for use in our own herd - this is one that we wish could stay, but we have too many females related to him now. "Andy" is by one of our most reliable & sure females, who has been responsible for several great ones who have walked our pastures to date - including his maternal sister, LL Raggedy Ann 1F, who was Grand Champion Shorthorn Female at Lloydminster Stockade Roundup in 2019.
Andy has sired some nice calves for us - those looking for roans, including blues, take a look here! He's given us several - all long bodied and wide topped. Andy is thick made and correct himself. 21K is awfully exciting for us - he is out of one of our most maternal cow families, and these females rarely have bull calves! 21K is eye appealing in a lot of ways: cherry red, long bodied, smooth made & free moving. His pedigree is exciting & proven! His grand dam is an exceptional mama cow with a flawless udder, and shes been passing this on to all who carry her bloodline. She continues to produce a top end calf each year. He's also a grandson of HC Drum Major 11D who bred incredibly well for us here for many years. This guy should fit in alot of programs nicely. We're looking forward to seeing 21K's progeny!
