A female we purchased at the 2017 Sun Country Shorthorn Sale from our friends at Horseshoe Creek Farms. This female has been an excellent producer for us, raising 3 exceptional bull calves so far, all sired by HC Drum Major 11D. They finally gave us a heifer in the 2021 season, who is in the top end of our calf crop. 32D is an easy fleshing female with a flawless udder, and an incredible amount of docility & eye appeal. Another perfect example of why we love the Augusta Pride bloodline!

Here is one of the very best females on our ranch! When this one hit the ground in February 2018, we instantly knew she was something special. A thick topped, deep sided female who is truly complete in her overall makeup. She hit the show trail in fall of 2019, to become Grand Champion Shorthorn Female at the Lloydminster Stockade Roundup. Following her show run, she gave us beautiful heifer calf sired by Bayview Unique K11. In addition to being a joy to show, she exceeded our expectations as a mama cow as well. This female checks all the boxes, and we can't say enough good about her!

47F was the first Augusta Pride heifer calf to hit the ground at LLS! This girl is tougher than nails and as easy going as they come. She is stamped with all the maternal qualities that we love about the Augusta Pride bloodline, complete with the power that Drum Major puts into all of his calves. Drum Major & the Augusta Pride females are always a no-miss, and this female is a perfect example of why. Long bodied and feminine, with a beautiful udder. She works hard & milks well. She has longevity written all over her!

Just like her mother, this little lady is quickly becoming one of our favourite females on the ranch! She is soggy made, deep bodied, with a clean front. We had full intentions of taking 1F and this heifer on the show trail in 2020, but Covid-19 put our plan to a halt, much to our disappointment! We believe this heifer has a lot to offer and is a very good representation of the Shorthorn breed. The more she grows, the more we like what we see - she has been stamped with Unique's hip, and her mother's thick top, and we cannot wait to see what she produces for us. We are hoping we can take her to the show ring in 2021 - she will be one to watch out for!

Here is a female we purchased from Clythe Mane Shorthorns in the 2018 Shorthorn Alliance Sale. When we viewed the sale catalog, we were instantly drawn to her. She has grown into an exceptional brood cow - she is stout made with lots of maternal power. This is a female that always gets noticed on the ranch, and is often referred to as an "old style Shorthorn" - which is one of the main things we love about her! Flora is docile, feminine, and fancy to boot!

Another female we purchased in the 2018 Shorthorn Alliance Sale. This is a moderate made female who is incredibly hard working and fertile. Brenda is an exceptional mother who calves like clockwork each year, within the first cycle, and weans off an excellent calf each time. She has raised 2 beautiful heifers for us (LL Brenda 55G & LL Brenda 1H) - 55G is showing incredible promise & has inherited all of her mother's maternal traits. Low maintenance, quiet & no-nonsense. We are so pleased to see this bloodline continue in our herd.

Our first calf crop with Fire Storm genetics at LLS, and to say we are impressed by the results is putting it mildly! We received this heifer and a full sister via embryo transfer, and both these ladies are exceptional! Thick topped, long bodied, and possess an impressive hip. We cannot wait to see how they develop & work for us!
This little lady was 4th overall in a tough class at Canadian Western Agribition.

The first Cruiser daughter at LLS! When we first saw Cruiser, we knew we wanted to incorporate him into our program somehow. This female told us why he got, and deserved, so much attention! This is a massive designed, soggy made female who is broody as they come. She has raised 2 bull calves for us so far and we love what we see. We liked her so much, we purchased her full sister in the following year's Sun Country Sale! These girls work hard & carry one of our absolute favourite bloodlines!

One of the matriarchs of our purebred program - this female is sure as they come! We always knew we wanted a Raggedy Ann female, and when we purchased this one from Horse Shoe Creek Farms' herd reduction sale in 2017, we had no idea the impact she would have on our program! 74X has been an excellent producer for us, and throws an exceptional calf each year. She is dam of LL Raggedy Ann 1F, who needs no introduction around LLS.
Ever since we purchased her, 74X has been crossed with Drum Major - the resulting calves always get noticed on the ranch! She is very fertile & easy fleshing, and she milks well - this is a female who works hard & pays her way.

Here is a female we purchased in the 2020 Shorthorn Alliance Sale. When we first saw her, we knew she was something special! This female gets noticed a lot on the ranch - she is feminine, smooth made & stout, with docility that is second to none. This is an all around lovely heifer that we think very highly of! Another one who checks all the boxes and has become a personal favourite.
She is currently raising her first calf, a heifer sired by Bell M Titanium 47F, and is doing an excellent job for us.

"Iris" is a moderate made female who is easy fleshing and fertile. She raised an impressive calf sired by Glenford Crimson 26G in the 2021 season - Iris puts all she has into her calves, while boasting an excellent udder and an easy going attitude. As a first calf heifer, she picked up her maternal traits easily and was great to handle - she really impressed us!
Iris is bred back to Crimson for the 2022 calving season, and we expect it to be another standout.

Another First Kiss female - this one is in the top end of our 2021 heifer pen. Here she is, pictured in her working clothes, fresh off her mama! This heifer is incredibly eye appealing - she is long spined, deep ribbed, balanced, and very attractive in her overall makeup. 10J has huge promise and a very bright future - our First Kiss females who are in production are working hard, and well, for us - and we expect her to be no different.

Here is a heifer we have admired from the very start. She is, without a doubt, one of our very best. This female is very stout, thick topped, and easy fleshing. A female with a lot to offer the breed and a lot to appreciate. She attended 2023 Canadian Western Agribition and proved to be competitive in a tough group of heifer calves. She is just getting started and we are excited to see where the future takes her!

"Ruby" raised a bull calf for us in 2021, sired by Diamond Lord Belmore, and proved herself to be a low maintenance, easy going mama cow. She is bred to Drum Major for a 2022 calf, and we can't wait to see what they give us.

This is a female who puts absolutely everything she has into her calf and brings in a whopper each fall. She is clean fronted, smooth made, and carries herself beautifully on an excellent set of feet and legs. We feature many Free Spirit daughters and simply can't say enough good about them as mama cows - 11F is no exception. No muss, no fuss with this girl!

This female is correct and sure - she raised an excellent bull calf sired by Studer's Die Hard for us and stepped into her role as mama cow with ease. She is bred to Glenford Crimson 26G for a 2022 calf and we are very much looking forward to this cross!

Quite possibly the best heifer calf we have ever raised! We are so pleased with Ruddy's first calf crop at LLS - he was crossed with limited females for his first season, and 1F was an easy selection for his group. This resulting heifer calf boasts all admirable traits as her parents do - thick topped, deep sided, long bodied, and powerful! She possesses a great deal of natural muscling, eye appeal, and presence. We simply can't say enough good about this correct, beautiful heifer. Her future is so bright!
We feature many females from the Augusta Pride bloodline, including HC Augusta Pride 70Z and several daughters & granddaughters. This bloodline was our gateway into the purebred side of the breed, and we have chosen to expand & continue this line for a number of reasons.
