Here is our main herdsire - fancy & functional! We purchased Drum Major in 2017 from Horseshoe Creek Farms and not only was he our favourite in their sale, but he quickly became a favourite in our bull pen as well - for a number of reasons! Drum Major possesses a ton of eye appeal & moves with ease on an excellent set of feet and legs, and is as quiet as they come! When walking through the pens, it's not hard to tell which calves are his - no matter what he's crossed with, he consistently throws wide-topped, deep sided, long bodied calves. He’s been our first choice for our purebred females for several years, and tried and true on heifers. This is an all around hard working, easy keeping, eye appealing herdsire - a very good representation of what we love most about the Shorthorn breed!

We are saddened to announce that we had to say goodbye to our old pal, HC Drum Major 11D, early spring 2023. What an influential sire he's been, and what a legacy he's left behind for us! Several producers have sons working in their herds across Saskatchewan, and we have a strong set of females carrying his bloodline in our herd. He crossed exceptionally well with our Augusta Pride & Raggedy Ann bloodlines, but was always consistent in the quality he produced. His 6th calf crop is hitting the ground and as always, we like what we see.
The last bulls sired by him will be offered in 2022/2023.
Thank you to Horseshoe Creek Farms for offering this impressive bull back in 2017 - as soon as we saw him, we knew he was the one we wanted! Bulls like this certainly don't come around often and we are sure going to miss our old guy.
